UT has a really well-regarded architecture school. I recently agreed to help a graduate student get his architectural models down for posterity…

The following are some selects from the photo session this week.

Everything was shot in full sunlight with no light modifiers at all. I did use a polarizing filter on several shots to step down the light and still allow for over-exposed shots using a large aperature.

Some of the single shots actually exposed both the highlights and shadows, but for many of these shots, I did need to use bracketed exposures and merged them as HDR in post. (*the new HDR tools in Adobe Premier CS5 are really good btw.)
